A mailing list is a collection of email addresses which get one and the same email simultaneously. When you send an email message to the mailing list address, it will be forwarded to all the email addresses on that list automatically, but none of the receivers will see the other recipients. Generally, people have to register for a list, but sometimes mailboxes are added manually without their owners’ permission. Based on the concrete mailing list administration software, you may also be able to approve new mailing list subscribers, so people cannot register for a mailing list unless you okay their request. The mailing list option is exceptionally useful if you wish to send regular newsletters or some other sort of regular announcements to customers, considering that you will need to send out one single e-mail message and all of the mailing list subscribers will receive it momentarily. This way, you will not need to fill in many mailboxes manually.
